plog: the season

Figgy pudding time is almost here
It’s a season that we hold dear
A time to reflect — and decorate
And once again ponder the new year’s fate

The weatherman says it’ll be crummy
I’ll be wrapped up like a mummy
The landscape will be covered with snow
All Currier-and-Ives wherever you go

Until then, I have leaves to rake
A novel to write, and cookies to bake
My Christmas card list, it doth grow
My life is working out — ho ho ho.
