1962 Diary of a Minnesota Housewife — Pt 23

Mon. March 19. Art to work again. I cleaned the front rooms again, the boys’ room, Baby’s room & our room. Art home at 6. Supper at 6:30. Took Pat & Baby to Dr. this p.m. Washed clothes. Tues. March 20. Hat Party at school today. We sold 47 hats. Mrs.Carlson came over. I bought a lavender flowered cap. It goes with my lavender coat & skirt. I must do up my lavender blouse to match up! Wed. March 21. Off to the dentist on Broadway. Had to take a cab down and it was $1.25, but made it on time. After, I went to the bank & then downtown, and shopped like mad for Pat’s party, and lunched at Kresge’s, then to Gold Bond store & got a stainless tea kettle for 1 2/5 books. Art came by, and we went to the Builders Show at 5, and had a real nice time. We ate, and stayed thru the show. The Mills Brothers were the main attraction. Florence & Millie’s were closed, so we went home.
