1962 Diary of a Minnesota Housewife — Pt. 14

Thurs. Feb.15. Weather is nice, but more snow. All kids to school. Gene sanded the last plaster coat, and put on the seal coat for paint. We went to Spanish class at Henry. Clarence (L.) didn’t come. The snow made rough going, but we went down to Gertrude’s and Baumgardners and Park Snack for a hamburger, Mrs.Gile sitting the kids. Art worked at Carlson Drug again today. Fri. Feb.16. Everyone off to school – it is quite puddly in places. Gene painted the walls sea green. The ceiling and closet in the new room is off-white. Jackie Kennedy’s favorite color! We went grocery shopping at Country Club with all the kids. Home in time for the Flintstones.
