1962 Diary of a Minnesota Housewife — Pt. 13

Wed. Feb.14. Snow is melting. All valentine parties at school. Pat went to Brownies after school and they had their party, too. Gene came and plastered the other half of the corner seams in the girls’ new room. The plywood came for the floor. We decided to panel the livingroom in birch. Baby burned a hole in David’s rubber pillow by plugging in the tree angel and hiding it under the pillow. David unplugged it, but what a smell! Art gave me a valentine box of candy. I had saved heart boxes enough so each child got one for his valentines.
